A Shot of Critical Thinking for Suits

To become a brand custodian that clients respect and listen to, suits need to develop critical thinking. There are two levels to critical thinking. The first step, covered in this session, is to get your foundation right. Get the contact report right. Put your heart and soul into the competitive review. Be as detailed as possible in your job reqs. Have the initiative to know more about what’s happening in the client’s industry and product category. The more you know, the more you are able to connect the dots. The more you connect the dots, the better your critical thinking and the better the ideas, advice, viewpoints and arguments that you can put to your clients to grow the brand, making you a valued and respected partner.

Module 1 : The secret to success is right under your nose
We’ll start off by going through all the documents and reports that you have to write and update on a regular basis. Learn how each document and report was designed to strengthen your knowledge and skills, preparing a foundation for the incisive thinking that is the hallmark of the most respected brand custodians.
Module 2 : Staying on top of the game
To make the paperwork work for you, you need to master it, not let it master you. We’ll introduce different methods of staying on top of paperwork to always be in control of the wealth of the information that flows through you, so that when new information comes to you, you can alert and advise your clients on a timely basis.
Module 3 : Gain confidence
Lastly, we’ll practice how you can use the information you’ve gained from preparing all your reports to make decisions, anticipate client’s needs, and give valuable input to the strategic planning and creative teams.
